Preparing for Application

This step is only necessary when using the nail set for the first time. Once adjusted, you can enjoy a perfect fit for multiple wears without needing to repeat these adjustments. It is important to try each press-on nail before application to ensure it fits comfortably. Skipping this step may lead to discomfort or improper adhesion during wear.

If the Nail is Too Curvy:
If the press-on nail has a curve that doesn’t match your natural, flatter nail shape, you can adjust it. Heat the nail using a fan or other safe heat source. This will make the material more flexible. To protect your hands, hold the nail securely with tweezers while heating. Once warm, press the nail onto a hard surface, like a table, and hold it in place until it cools and retains the adjusted shape.

If the Nail Doesn’t Match Your Cuticle Shape:
If the press-on nail doesn’t align with your natural cuticle curve, you can gently file the sides to create a better match. Use a fine-grit nail file and make small adjustments to avoid over-filing. Properly fitting the cuticle shape ensures a natural look and comfortable wear.

How to Apply

Step 1:

Prep Your Cuticles

Start by pushing back your cuticles gently with a cuticle pusher or orange stick. This creates a clean base for the press-on nails to sit snugly against your natural nails. Properly prepped cuticles ensure a polished and professional finish.

Step 2:

File the Length of Your Natural Nails

Trim and file your nails to a shorter length, as longer nails may cause lifting or improper press-on nail attachment.

Step 3:

Buff Your Nail Surface

Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails with a fine-grit nail buffer. This step removes any shine or oils from your nails, improving the adhesive’s ability to stick.

Warning: Be gentle while buffing to avoid thinning or damaging your natural nails.

Step 4:

Clean with Alcohol

Clean your nails with the alcohol pad included with your nail set or use a cotton pad soaked in isopropyl alcohol. This step removes oils, dust, or residues that can interfere with adhesion and ensures a smooth application.

Warning: Skip this step, and your press-ons may pop off prematurely!

step 5:

Find the Right Size Sticky Tab

Select sticky tabs that match the size and shape of your nails. Each nail should have a tab that fits edge to edge without overlapping your skin.

step 6:

Apply Sticky Tabs and Press Firmly

Apply the sticky tabs to your nails, starting from the base and pressing in circular motions. This ensures no air pockets remain between the tab and your natural nail.

Tip: Roll your finger over the tab to secure it evenly across the nail surface.

step 7:

Heat Tabs for Better Adhesion

Gently warm the tabs using a small fan or body heat for a few seconds. Warmth activates the adhesive, providing a stronger bond.

step 8:

Apply Press-On Nails and Press Firmly

Carefully position each press-on nail over the sticky tab, aligning it with your cuticle and pressing down firmly for about 10 seconds.

Tip: Apply pressure evenly across the entire nail to prevent lifting or uneven attachment.

step 9:

Shape the Nails if Necessary

After application, adjust the shape or length of the nails with a file to suit your preference.

How to Remove

Step 1:

Start with an Oil Treatment

Generously apply cuticle oil or nourishing oil (such as coconut or olive oil) around the edges of your snap-on nails. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to loosen the adhesive and protect your natural nails during removal.

Step 2:

Relax Your Nails in Warm, Soapy Water

Soak your nails in a bowl of warm water mixed with a few drops of gentle soap for an additional 5–10 minutes. This helps to further soften the adhesive and makes the nails easier to remove..

Step 3:

Gently Ease Off the Edges

Using an orange stick or cuticle pusher, carefully lift the edges of the nails starting from the sides. Move slowly and steadily to avoid harming your natural nails.

Step 3.1:

Pro Tip: Use a Toothfloss Stick for Stubborn Nails

For nails that are harder to remove, slide a toothfloss stick gently under the nail and use a side-to-side motion to loosen the adhesive. This method is especially helpful for tight areas.

step 4:

Finish with Nourishment

After all nails are removed, clean away any remaining adhesive with oil or an alcohol pad. Apply cuticle oil to your nails and a rich hand cream to hydrate and protect your skin.
